Dan profile
Name: Dan Stoten
Based: London
Expert Area: Festival guru and Editor-in-Chief (organiser extraordinaire)
TPA Member since: Day one…
About: Our Editor loves nothing more than to spend his weekends in a field somewhere being consistently deafened by the best in punk, ska and reggae. Having no actual musical talent himself meant he turned his attentions to writing about it, setting up The Punk Archive back in 2013 from his bedroom.
Favourite bands: The Story So Far, NoFX, The Skints, A Day To Remember, Rise Against, Neck Deep, EMP!RE, Red City Radio, The Menzingers, PUP, Mad Caddies, Less Than Jake, Colt 45

Jamie K
Name: Jamie Kerr
Based: Birmingham
Expert Area: Live music photography, festival drunkard and resident pop punk expert who’s also partial to a bit of hardcore and math rock. Also our News & Singles Editor.
TPA Member since: March 2014
About: After numerous half-arsed efforts to play in bands during his teenager years, Jamie decided to spend the next 10 years attending countless gigs watching his favourites play live instead. Exploring and photographing abandoned buildings then became a keen pastime for a while but his eye was quickly turned when the opportunity to photograph bands came along.
Favourite bands: Neck Deep, Architects, blink-182, The Wonder Years, Issues, Enter Shikari, Thrice, Saosin, And So I Watch You From Afar, Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!

Name: Adam DT
Based: Bristol
Expert Area: Noisecore, Mathcore, Hardcore, A Tonal/Experimental stuff, Post-Rock, Stoner Rock, Blues
TPA Member since: 2014
About: Probably the tallest member of TPA, Adam got his degree in music and proceed to disappear into a cloud of pretentious loop based A Tonal noise. He emerges from time to time to give his opinion on any sort of music offered to him, mainly turning his blurry focus onto the various albums that fall into the “Metal” category.
Favourite bands: Tom Waits, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Lightning Bolt, Colour Haze, Code Orange (although these names change pretty regularly!)

Ben Chapman
Name: Ben Chapman
Based: Bristol
Expert area: Arriving promptly. Teamwork. Rubbish puns.
TPA Member since: January 2014
About: Ben enjoys listening to, over-analysing, or just vaguely bobbing his head to most varieties of music. He also likes to play bass, mess around on guitars with friends, and indulge his ever-growing soft spot for dogs whenever possible.
Favourite bands: Blur, Delta Sleep, Sunny Day Real Estate, Cap’n Jazz, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Drive Like Jehu, This Town Needs Guns, Algernon Cadwallader, Yes

Name: Will Bright
Based: Brighton
Expert area: ‘90s-esque alt ’n’ grunge
TPA Member since: September 2015
About: Punk rocker since early teens, like all the other punk rockers out there, Will plays bass in a punk rock band because he sucks at all the other instruments and he’s not the best at bass either. He loves to write, and he loves music. Makes sense that he works in a pub.
Favourite bands: Dinosaur Jr, The Cure, Eels, PJ Harvey, Smashing Pumpkins [2punk4u]

Name: Toby Walkley
Based: London
Expert Area: Sound engineering and record production
TPA Member since: March 2015

Jarrad Photo
Name: Jarrad Cox
Based: Sydney, Australia
Expert Area: Hardcore / Punk rock with a political slant
TPA Member since: January 2016
About: Jarrad grew up listening to punk rock whilst surrounded mostly by the kind of people who never stop talking about Tool. He now relishes any chance he gets to discuss (and occasionally rant) about punk. He once wrote pretty terrible plays but now much prefers to write about music.

 unnamed (1)
Name: Katie Bizley
Based: Bristol
Expert Area: Rock / Electronic
TPA Member Since: October 2017
About: Katie’s interest in music began around the time she got a classical guitar for her seventh birthday. This was soon replaced by an electric guitar and a love of rock was born. She also enjoys electronic music and believes all music is best when she can move to it, meaning Katie is reliably the last one dancing at gigs, raves and festivals.
Favourite Bands: Volbeat, Nirvana, Asking Alexandria, Slipknot, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes, 5FDP.

Name: Mikaelie A. Evans
Based: Melbourne, Australia
Expert Area: The bar… Music journalism
TPA Member since: June 2016
About: After realising that she spent more time out at live shows (and still does) than focusing on beginning her own band, Mikaelie was encouraged to start writing about music events. Already filling her copious scrapbooks with poetry and doodling, it was a good idea. Still in awe of her bass guitar, Mikaelie also enjoys yoga, painting and apple cider.
Favourite bands: The Modern Lovers, Richard Hell and The Voidoids, The Stooges, Patti Smith, Pennywise, Black Flag.

Name: Dave Mullins
Based: Perth, Australia
Expert Area: Punk rock and metal
TPA Member since: June, 2016
About: Dave comes from a background of playing bass in terrible punk bands, but has since graduated to playing bass terribly in a metalcore band. After studying communications he sought a career in journalism, but has since realised people don’t read things anymore. Dave spends his spare time diving in the ocean and thinks that sharks are just awesome.
Favourite Bands: NoFX, Sublime, No Use For A Name, Soulfly, Pantera

Name: Montana Tudor
Based: Torquay, Australia (‘Straya mate)

About: Having no musical abilities herself, Montana lives vicariously through the musical abilities of others by running her own music management label, Wonderland, while reviewing gigs in Melbourne and along The Surf Coast. You’ll often find her being thrown around in a mosh, rolling around in a field at a festival while collecting sticks as she goes along (it’s a long story, don’t ask). Her favourite things are: Music, beer, festivals, mates, the pub, reading toilet graffiti, writing, collecting sticks and beer.
Favourite bands: Fugazi, Motorhead, The Stooges, The Doors, Dead Kennedys, Cosmic Psychos, Black Flag, Bowie, The Peep Tempel, Radio Birdman, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Bennies, Macondo Blowout and a shit load more, don’t ask her to choose favourites!

Name: Duncan Stevenson
Based: Adelaide, Australia
Expert Area: The levels of potato production in the Caucuses: 1920 – 1925; and 80/90s Hardcore Punk.
TPA Member since: June 2016
About: Duncan has been listening to the same type of music for too long. He tried playing in a punk band once but realistically didn’t have the drive or energy (he was a lazy bastard) to really make a go of it. Luckily for him a number of people in the city he lived in did, and were really good at it, leading him to be able to see a number of bands growing up whenever he wanted. Duncan shares his life with his wife Lauren and their two kids. All three of these people have a better taste in music than he does. Duncan now spends his life drinking too much, listening to obscure Nordic noise records and smelling faintly like cabbage. If you want to know anything about the 1921 Kronstadt Rebellion or mid to late 90s Adelaide punk/hardcore bands, he’ll bore you with too much information.
Favourite bands: Raised Fist, Propagandhi, Failures, Mindsnare, Price of Silence, Jets To Brazil, The Hold Steady, No Fun At All, Refused, Les Savy Fav, The Vandals, Where’s The Pope?, Breach, Texas Is The Reason, Fucked Up, Comeback Kid, MDC, Jungle Fever, Descendents, Strife, Better Than A Thousand, Charles Bronson and many, many more.
