The Fest 16 Announces First Round Of Bands

Without doubt one of our favourite festivals in the world, Florida’s FEST has today announced it’s first tranche of bands to play the sixteenth edition of the October festival.

As has been the case for the past five years now, Tampa will also be hosting a Pre-FEST on 25th and 26th October, giving festival-goers an opportunity to see both special sets from bands on both line-ups, as well as those they don’t get to see at the FEST itself.

As always, Tony and the rest of the organisers have delivered a stunning line-up. Highlights for us are Against Me! headlining both days of Pre-FEST, as well as playing Reinventing Axl Rose at FEST. A Wilhelm Scream were one of our biggest FEST 15 highlights, so seeing them back this year is a delight; equally, Hot Water Music as one of this year’s headliners is a great thing.

Teenage Bottlerocket are back; as are Off With Their Heads, Red City Radio, and FEST staples World’s Scariest Police Chases. The Flatliners, fresh off the back of seminal record Inviting Light, are also on the line-up alongside Iron Chic, The Copyrights, the brilliant Skating Polly and Wolf-Face.

The UK’s Ghouls, after some high quality sets last year, are back on the line-up, while it’s great to see Teen Agers, Western Settings, and Caskitt come back.

As always, the FEST is not to be missed. For more details and more info about the line-up, head here. Tickets and hotels go on sale Friday 28th April.
