One of our favourite festivals, Boomtown Fair, has today announced the first wave of bands and artists taking to it’s many stages.
As always, the festival organisers have absolutely outdone themselves and come up with probably one of the best line-ups of any festival you’ll find in 2017. There’s something for everyone. Check out this year’s storyline here:
The main headliners for 2017 have been announced as The Specials, Cypress Hill and MIA; all masters of their genres. Underneath those, as ever there’s some stunning reggae, right through from the legendary Big Youth and U-Roy, to modern heroes such as Slightly Stoopid, Gentleman’s Dub Club and Protoje.
Our favourite ragga-ska-punks Skindred are also playing, alongside Mad Dog McRea, King Prawn and Reel Big Fish. Toots and The Maytals, Frank Turner and Dawn Penn, along with many, many more have been announced, too.
This is only the first round of announcements: there are more to come yet, filling up many of the other districts and stages.
